Old lifted Jeeps and small japanese roadsters. Mmmmmm... The YJ was in for clutch/shifter problems.
Sorry for the three close posts but I haven’t been near a computer today.

Did you see on the Internet the guy who took a totaled Miata, and put a old jeep body onto it? Was oddly satisfying.

After having experienced my friends YJ on several occasions, it’s completely ruined my view on Jeeps.

Brakes failed(happens, been there, just part of the list), transmission locked up due to internal rust(Alabama Jeep), starter failed, diff failed, clutch failed, almost none of the electrics work(lights/wipers), etc. All within a year. He didn’t abuse it, he never got the chance to. He got a ‘94 Toyota Pickup, that was in 2011 and he still drives it to this day. It does everything the Jeep will do, but not break while doing it. Plus when stuff does eventually go wrong, it’s just as cheap to fix, because 22RE.
